This is bizarre

I'm upgrading my Corsair XMS2700 256MB stick for Corsair XMS3500 512 MB stick. I just got the new memory from Googlegear today. My speed and timings are:

177 MHz 2-2-2-5-1T

My XMS2700 works perfectly at 2.7 V. Guess what, I tried the XMS3500 stick at 2.5-2.7 V, but it immediately fails under Prime95.

I may have a defective stick so I'm trying to get an RMA from Googlegear. Anyone else experience this?

Try relaxing your timing an lower your overclock till prime is stable an mem voltage to 2.7v an run prime for a while. I had a stick of Corsair PC3200 that did the same thing an after an hour of prime it was good to go just needed to be run warmed up.

My XMS 3200 is the same way,my old PC 3000 scores better than my 3200..Go figure..
