help me find a cheap copy of halflife

i'm looking for a cheap copy of halflife, i've looked on half.com & go gamer but i can't seem to break the $20 barrier (after shipping). If you guys have any places you recommend for a cheap copy could you post and let me know? I'm gonna load it on my laptop so i can play TFC, CS, FLF, DOD, etc...

Heh I think the fact thats its not new should give more incentive to find it cheaper not less? I don't understand your logic here but paying $20 for a game that old is a bit silly, regardless of how good it is.

I agree, $20 is not much but for a game that old, I wish I could find it cheaper too, might just have to dish out the extra cash unfortunately. Must be still pretty popular even with all the cheats going on.

yeah i've heard of people picking it up for $10....i mean, heck i just got soldier of fortune 2 for $9.90, but i gotta pay more for HL? i probably wouldn't care except i already bought CS retail, (before i knew about the whole mod thing) and now i can't find the disc, so i'm just trying to keep my expenditures down.

If you get it at newegg.com it comes with all the mods such as counterstrike and so on.

the problem with that is i can almost guarentee that the key you get with it will not work online.

i've seen HL for $10 a few times at microcenter and bestbuy. just have to wait for a good price i guess.

This is blue shift but cant u just dl the mods for it and it would work? Its only $5

Go to best buy- they should have the HL cd for dirt cheap. Then get BlueShift (should also be cheap). It comes with Opposing force. Blue Shift is a great game, it goes right along with the HL theme- its just a very short game. Make sure you play and finish the games in order- HL, Op4, then BlueShift.

Also- I recommend you get a magic marker or CD pen and write the CD key on the red half life cd once you get it. You can use almost any HL cd key (op4, BS,...) but if you just have the HL original cdkey and lose it, your up the creek.

The Op4 cd key WONT work for HL.
They are entirley different. Im not sure about the blueshift one

Worked for me. You know- come to think of it, i think it was the blue shift cd key. Anyway- Don't lose the key! :D

the cd-key for blue shift works for CS but the actual exe doesnt...
