I install AIM, trial for AOL button pops up. I delete it. I install Winamp, trial for AOL button pops up. I delete that.

Ok how do we hack windows to NEVER allow this to happen? I understand its the installer doing this but how do we 'ban' any mention of AOL from being installed by any program on our computers?

Do you follow me?

I understand and agree completely: what we need is an anti-virus program that recognizes ANYTHING from aol and quarantines it, preventing it from running/installing EVER.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of any such program:(

AOL was cool when I ran ver 2.0 Then prodigy was the only other alternative. Now I dont even like to type AOL. damn I did it again. If you guys find a hack that will treat AOHell like a virus I'll be more then willing to test it out for you

AOL IS a fecking virus.

The only way you can get online if you get rid of AOL and move to a new service is to reformat your harddrive, with all the custom protocals it installs that seem unremovable.

Down with AOL, Down with Steve case!
