Does updating HPT BIOS kill the RAID set?

Excuse my ignorance but I have not used a RAID set on a home PC before. If I update the HPT BIOS will my RAID set still be there of will it kill it necessetating a rebuild and re-install?
 
bios

I updated my KX7's bios which included a new HPT 372 bios. It didn't affect my array.
