So how would you go about unstalling it?
It's not in the add remove programs, it doesn't have an unistall icon in either the start menu, or the folder where it's installed.
The only thing that says unistall is a regedit that removes the refresh rate over rides.
It seems odd to just delete the folder it's in because it make so many registery changes.
So do you just delete the folder and keep all the changes?

I fear this is the cause of the poor performance of my newly aquired 8500LE, I'm only getting half the 3D marks I should be.

Its not riva tuner its your PIII 750 and the PC133 Ram. Most of the scores you see in the 7500-10,000 range are taken with AthlonXP/P4 Northwood or better and PC2100 DDR or better. When my friends mobo fried, he had an Athlon xp 1900, 512 DDR, and a TI4200, and it was doing over 10,000 in 3dmarks, and so he put 512 mb of sd in an old PIII 650 Micron he had along with his TI 4200 and his 3dmarks were 4,300. A big chunk of the score has to do with the cpu speed and memory throughput. A 750 PIII and PC133 ram spells below 5000 3dmarks.

Yeah I know, and the fact that I can only run it on 2x AGP doesn't help either, but I still think I should be getting slighltly higher than 4500
Either way, I'd like to remove Riva Tuner.
I heard there is a program that removes all traces of the detnator drivers. Does anyone know what it's called?

Detonator Destroyer I believe. And I consider 4500 to be pretty much what you should be getting on that machine. Youd be surprised what updated ram, processor, and mobo will do for ya.
