CPU speed Doesnt matter, videocard speed doesn't matter.
Ram speed doesn't matter. Opertating system doesn't matter...
honestly I can even guess what this thing is actually scoring you on.
heres why.
my first test, everything at default.
XP 2100, 1.73 ghz, R9700 (non pro) fresh clean install of windows 2000 pro.
4488
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=34020
as you can see, this is everything at default, using a rather basic set up, I get almost 4500 with no overclocking of any kind.
seems fine right, so I am thinking "cool maybe I can get about 6000"
wrong...
next test 2.59 ghz, alittle OC on the videocard.
4268

ok, so I think it's a fluke, a bug...
and try alittle more speed.
2.63 ghz.
no OC on the videocard.
4268

so I am like ok, what the hells going on...
and I give it one big try.
so I go to 2.73 ghz, with almost a 400 MHZ frontside bus, and overclock the videocard to R9700 Pro levels, and give it another try.
and I get 4300.

so 4 tests later.
I have a 1.7 ghz test, with not overclocking whatso ever, beating my max 2.73 ghz, 330/310 overclock of the R9700 to 9700 pro levels, and max cas latency....
that a 1 ghz difference, and it made absolutly no difference at all.
I have ran about 10 other tests and determind the more you try the less it does, it doesn't matter about the speed of your
videocard, Ram, CPU, or if you got a clean install on the system, a fast hard drive, raid zero, set the priority levels to realtime or anything else...
3dmark 2003 seems to benchmark your computer on something I have no idea of what is...
the number so far just seem random.
like it's not really doing anything....
so, all I can say, it's nice to see, the tests are ugly as hell, and I personally hate the look of the whole thing...
the random numbers seems to have been what really ruined it for me, so I don't think I will be bothering with this program anymore, not until they release a updated version.
back to 2001 SE for me, cause the unreliability of 2003 makes it not even worth bothering with.
