sorry just haven't been keeping up on my ram lately.

I'm trying to get as much info on the best performing DDR 3000 ram (think that's what my mobo can handle).


I understand the ddr concept just not the dual chanell thing.
 
It's simple. Normal DDR RAM has a 64 bit interface. By running two sticks in parallel, it gives it effectively a 128 bit interface, thereby giving you (roughly) twice the memory bandwidth.

It works the same way dual channel rambus does on the P4.
