Delete Cs

I want to delete counter-strike from my system. How can i completely delete cs? I dont want any residual files on my system.

i would just delete the folder and look for any cs stuff in half life folder since cs is not in the control panel remove programs

you could try all that fancy stuff - or you could just do the good old fashion Hard disk in the microwave trick (disclaimer - er dont do that)

However, i am looking to delete any programs associated with the program. Control remove program will not do that.

dog gone it hes right - if you have the mod version the only place it exists (unless you have shortcuts) is the cs directory within HL just delete that...

Why would you wanna delete CS?! :)

I have retail and it shows up in add/remove in my control panel. If you want to remove every related to CS, you'll have to do it manually. Careful with what you delete.

if you have retail CS then uninstall in control panel, if you have the CS mod for retail Half Life then you just have to delete the cstrike folder, but Koopa has a good point, why would you delete CS lol

remove half life from the control panel add/remove menu, then delete the sierra folder.

since half life is the only program with residual files, once it's gone the rest can be deleted easily.

Why would you wanna delete CS?!

Just want to reinstall clean. Having problems with my vid card and nobody has any idea to fix. [currently have a 1024/724 vid card and only can get 400/300 in cs:( ] Just thought i can fix with new install.

I found that command in the sierra webpage, but now have another prob of that i cannot get the ~ symbol in msdos because of some crazy keyboard configuration. Anybody know how to change that? Can i use something else - other dos program?

Anyhow, check the character map. dos/command prompt should respond to the alt+123 (on numpad) or whatever number the character is. find the ~ on the character map and use the number it says to use.
