Ok, new server, it's dedicated so hopefully it will work better. It actually shows up in the list too, at least for me.

I got it too. I was all excited cause it asked for the password and loaded half of Midway. My favorite non-RTR map. :(

As of right now Desert Combat SUCKS @#%@# D*(KS. The allied side gets all the aircraft and everybody goes to the allied side like ******* leaving iraqis with 1/3 the people and no heli's or bombers. I'm boycotting it until the next patch (which hopefully will even it out).

I'll probably play same time as last night. Place doesn't matter, but whoever finally got that server set up yesterday, it worked great for me. No lag on my side.

Last night it was hosted on my friends laptop, but I am not sure if he will let us do it again. Some of you were complaining about lag so i'm not sure if you want my school's network to host it again anyway.

I did some tests @ dslreports.com
Download was constantly between 3 and 4 mbps
Upload was always between 500 and 700 kbps.

I have a few options.

A) I can host it on my computer but it won't be dedicated, system in the sig. There is a possibility I won't play tonight, but not very likely.

B) I can try to get in my friends room who went home for the weekend. His computer is 1.0 Ghz Athlon with 512 ram, but I could set it up dedicated. I'm not sure what type of ram though....

Just let me know what you guys want to do.

The 1.0 athlon with 512mb ram sould be enough for like a 20 player server I think.

Yeah it should if it's ddr, I'm not sure if it is good enough if it is sdr. But I dunno if we have enough bandwidth for 20. If each person takes up 40 kbps and the lowest I found in a bandwidth test was 480 kbps then we can get max of 12 people. Last night the most we had was 9. BEAST WHERE ARE YOU! :)

Now that I think of it I might be able to use my parents computer. Dual 1700+ tbred @ 1.8 and 512mb ddr. Ill have to figure out port fowarding on my router, if we wanna use it but I dont know if my dsl will handle very many people. Ill do a speedtest and let you know what I get.

Ok I got an average of around 200k upload, is this enough for maybe a 10 player game? Stupid dsl with crappy upload.

It is has upload and download speeds.

I ran it 4 times and the lowest upload I got was 480 kbps and the lowest download i got was 3.2 mbps
