I'm asking this cuz I'm reinstalling my inlaws' system and he has a 128MB and two generic 256MB sticks (all CL3) in a Via 694X board. The reason I'm asking this is cuz the system is incredibly slow using whatever settings, driver updates etc. I have two 256MB Infinion CL222 sticks lying around, wouldn't the system be better off with that, or wouldn't there be a significant difference?

Never mind. I did some research and already found the answer. There is a limitation with the 693A/694X northbridge: DIMM 1 and 2 can take upto 256 per stick but DIMM 3 can only handle a 128MB stick. So I'm going with the two Infineon 256MB CL222 sticks which can take CL2 upto 150Mhz...
