what kind of chips do i have

how do i check what kind of chips are on my memory with out taking off the warranty lable and heat speader.

There should be a sticker on the heat spreader. Anyways, if it has a heat spreader it must not be crappy ram.

not true i have some OC system memory it came with a heat speader and it was junk.

Use sisoft sandra. If you run the memory benchmark it will tell you what kind you have in the information screen.
