Has anyone done this? I'm using Kingston 333mhz memory so I want the cpu and memory to run in sync. Going to run it at 13x166=2158mhz instead of 15x133=2000mhz. Will I be ok with 2 case fans and stock HSF?

And just to double check, the 8RDA+ unlocks multiplier changes so no mod needs to be done on the cpu, right?

Yes, Epox 8RDA+ unlocks all multipliers on XP2400+. After VDD mod I also managed to run Kingston PC2700 memory at 200Mhz with 7-3-3-2.5 timings at 2.63V, but only with single DIMM in slots 2 or 3, not slot 1.

cool, I am just going to do 13x166, don't want to go through any moding

Do you think the jump to the 2400 from the 2100 (for overclocking) is worth the additional cost (assuming vdd mod is done)?

Personally, I don't think it's worth it although with the recent price drops, newegg has the 2400+ for $137 so a good stepping should get you to around 2.5ghz or maybe 2.6 if you get really lucky and depending on what cooling you use. The 2100+ will probably get you to around 2.3-2.4ghz on good air. I guess it depends on how much that extra 100-200mhz means to you :D

It would be on water.

Up here in Canada the 2400 is $80 more than the 2100 B... hmm.

i dont think you'll see that much of a gain considering your spending almost twice as much on processor.the 2100's i've played with seem a lock to 2.4 on air.
