I loaded Asus Probe v2.17.00 after installing my Vantec Tornado 92MM fan, which is said to have a 5500 RPM speed.

According to Probe, the fan speed is 2657 RPM.

My temps (38 idle/42 load, 13.5x166x1.75 V) are very good indeed, so I'm thinking the fan is running at full 5500 RPM.

Could this readout be incorrect? Or could it be the fan??

Thanks!

I find Asus Probe to be very inaccurate. I tried using it for a few days and had a lot of misreads. I just use MBM5 and the bios to check temps, voltages and fan speed.

Check your fan's rpm in the bios Hardware Monitor. That will be the correct speed.

Just use MBM5.
