A7N8X- Why does everyone run at sync or as close as possible?

Is it just the dual DDR?

I've only got 1 stick so if thats all it is I'm cranking out the bandwidth.

I run in sync because I have stability issues otherwise.

Maybe thats my problem, just booted @ 100 mhz FSB and it was fine, then tried 166...no go. Then 133 (stock)...still no go. Its set to speed. I'll try syn. It run great with my 1700+ and the chip has to beable to do stock unless its a freak dud chip.
