yea i got my board a few days ago and have been playing with it since...really love it and runs good...just when i first got it and isntalled xp and the driver's off the cd it my mic worked for counter-strike fine...then when i formatted again (various reasons) and finally had sp1 and had downloaded the new nforce driver's it doesnt work anymore...i had a fresh install then immediately installed sp1...installed new nforce drivers and video blah blah...got cs on here and no worky...this wouldnt be that big of a deal except that i am pretty good at cs and really need my mic for matches and what not...so please any help would be appreciated, and if i cant figure it out im going to format and not put sp1 on and just use drivers from cd...
thx

The proper order to install winxp and also nforce2 driver is
Fresh install of Windows XP
Apply Windows XP SP1
Install Nforce Univerisal Driver Package 2.03 and do not install nforce SW IDE controller but manually install the ide controller from [extract temp dir]\NVIDIA\nForce\WinXP\2.03\IDE\WinXP\nvhdc.inf

did you run the nvidia speaker wizard? you might want to run it.... if you enable 6 channel sound, the mic port will be the center channel speaker instead of being the mic port
