whats better performancE?

what do you guys think would be better performance.
1 GB of pc 2700 Kingston RAM or, 512MB of PC 3200 Corsair ram? these are about the same price now.

It depends on what speed you're running them at. If you run the 2700 at 166MHz and the 3200 at 200MHz, the 3200 will outperform the 2700 by a significant margin. If they're both going to be run at 133/166/whatever, then there won't be a difference.

Well with running them both at the same speeds you will be able to get tighter timings out of the 3200, making it faster no matter what.

but there's also the question of how much ram you actually use...if you do serious graphic/video work or play games that take up a lot of ram (like bf1942) then go with the 1gig...if not, then go with the 512megs of pc3200
