See any performance gains?

Hi, I just upgraded my systems ram up from 256 to 512. Now I'm no newb and I know that I won't see very much fps gains when playing games, but all users who have upgraded to 512 did you notice if your load times were reduced? just cause some games like unreal2 and bf1942 take me a chunk of time to load, and I was hoping to see a little gain when loading progs like that.
