I got a CUV4X yesterday that needs fixing, but I can't hardly find any FCPGA 1100s, which is the max CPU it can handle.

I read that people can take a Tualeron FCPGA2 and wire mod it for the board, but which Powerleap adapter could I use with a 1.2 Tualeron to use on this board?

Is it even neccessary to use an adapter or wire mod for the board?

Yes it is neccessary to mod the board or buy an adaptor, you could buy a PL-370/T from powerleap $149.95 (Incl. 1.4GHz Tualeron) or a 370GU from Upgradeware for $29.95 (They're sold @ Stratton Computer).

NOTE for CUV4X and 370GU:
We don't suggest you to use P-III-S as they are quite picky to work with different memory on CUV4X.

Of course modding the board is a lot cheaper.

That 1.4/adaptor deal is too much. I can get a 1.2 cellie for $40 on newegg.

I guess that quote means that it doesn't like higher speeds?

Buying an adaptor that costs almost as much as the CPU isn't all that enticing either.
