just curious of what goes in the extra slot next to the socket and what the heck is its use in there.

i think you are talking about that dual power thingie but its kinda hard to figure out "what" goes into "that" slot which is right next to "that" socket

its for the dps module

the motherboard has a 3phase onboard power regulator/supplier and the module is an addin card for either:

an additional 3 phases, equalling 6 phases

or 2 3 phases in parallel for redundancy

supposedly, the 6phase power circuitry will allow support for 10ghz+ procs
