different ram

currently i using 2 stick or 256mb pc-2700 twinmos ddram CL2.5,so can i add another ram that not same brand but the speed is same?will the peformance drop?

Its OK to mix manufacturers, just not other certain attributes.

Some brands perform better than others when overclocking at high fsb. If your not going higher than 166 fsb on PC2700 cl2.5
Ram then its ok to mix brands. Otherwise stick with the same brand that your familiar with when adding another stick.
