Hi guys, I bought an 600 mhz emachines(celeron). It has a trigem anaheim2 motherboard. This is where things get weird. I ran a program called sysid. It told me my multiplier was 5 and my fsb was 120 mhz. I have been told that this is impossible. I believe i can increase the voltage and increase the multiplier to overclock my celeron, please correct me if i'm wrong, but I can't figure out how to adjust the multiplier. Can anyone out there lend me a helping hand? And if anyone has a 700mhz celeron i would be interested in acquiring one.
thanks,
eric

you cant increase the clock multiplier on a celeron 600 they are almost all multiplyer locked.

the only way to oc a new celeron is to use the fsb
download softfsb or cpufsb and try pushing the fsb from within windows - may be an idea to up the voltage 2 notches first so it is more likely to take the higher fsb

remember, doing it this way means you risk all the other hardware on the machine not working at the higher speeds - you hard drive may corrupt and lan cards etc may stop working so dont do this if a format c: is not an option
