Personally I love ATI cards, but this card I have had for about 3 months and I have to black lines on my video, on 2 different monitors. The lines are only 1 pix thick, so really only noticealble on a white screen, and barely at that. Is that a logic failure or does anyone have any ideas as to what it is? Can't be a driver issue can it?

lol...All trinitron monitors have those two little black lines on the screen. Something about the way theyre constructed. The only solution is either to live with it or get a different brand monitor. :)
The two "black lines" you're seeing are actually two very thin wires which stabilize the aperture grill so that it doesn't warp out of position due to temperature changes. This grill is extremely thin, and without the wires, the focus would change drastically as the grill heated up.
This has been a known issue with Trinitron tubes since day one!

Blooz1 is right on. It's been an annoyance to trinitron owners from the beginning. Also why I won't ever buy one. Heck the burnt out pixel (it's now red) in the center of my friend's LCD drives me nuts, and I'm not the one looking at it everyday. Those two lines would drive me nuts.

Yup, my grandfather had bought a really expensive Sony Trinitron 21" some years ago and he really hated it. I can understand. When I had looked at those lines on his monitor, I thought they looked really bad too as they were very visible and disturbing.
It's funny, the first thing that came to my mind when I read Floatempole's post was also this Trinitron problem.
I'm curious about whether the lines are equally visible on all Trinitrons though. Could it be that the lines are more visible on some monitors than others? With my grandfather's monitor, you could spot the lines right away from a distance very easily.

Thankfully Black_Paladin, the lines on mine are not really obvious, but when you get a white screen? Yes, there they are. I had never heard of that before and I thought I had a bad monitor, then I put another Trinitron monitor on and there were the lines again. I thought to myself, "bad video card."

I've never thought those lines were too bad...I've got a 17" trinitron at work and 2 21" trinitrons at home, and I love them. The lines bugged me for hte first couple of days, but after that I hardly ever notice them anytmore...in fact I really have to look closely to find them anymore, but I can see hwere some people it could really bug them :>
