CPU multiplier options

Why does Asus give us CPU freq. multiple options when Intel won't unlock them. Wishful thinking on their part or is the little I know about Celron procs. beginning to show. Oops, sorry guys, I should of posted this in Vendor discussions.

Motherboards are not specifically all for Intelsatanthingy processors and as such have features on them to alter multipliers.

My original Cyrix 3 was a Joshua core and not a Samuel and I had freedom of choice on multiplier on that so I could poke the FSB up some for some bandwidth business.

Intel engineering samples are unlock too so the multiplier options are vital.
