I have a 1600+ palamino running at 1533 right now. I bought a 1800+ T-bred because I thought the palmino was fried. Now I have a brand new boxed 1800+ that I dont know what to do with. My question is keep the palamino thats running at 1533 or sell it and run the T-bred. This chip wont be overclocked.

If you're perfectly happy with your Pally's performance, then I would suggest you sell the boxed tbred.

you will get more $ out of the boxed t'bred, and like maxima said if you are happy with your pally keep it!

I'd say it's between the Pally and investing $15-$20 in quality heatsink/fan for an easy and massive overclock that will boost your 1800+ to speeds that can compare to 2400+ to 2800+ depending on luck and how high you push the voltage.

It's not that big of an investment when you consider that 2800+ is like $370.

EDIT: OOh, I just noticed, actually it depends on how Shuttle AK32 mobo is willing to play with T-Bred.

He also stated that he will not overclock the chip.

yah, not gonna o/c then 6 in one half dozen the other. sell the tbred. you're only gonna see really betta performance from o/c one or the other.

(just wanna point out, this is overclockers forums) ask an overclocker a ?. get an overclockers answer!

and that answer is,
make dat t-bred cryyyyyyyy :D

your XP1800+ T-bred can do 2ghz(XP2400+) like it wasn't even overclocked at all and can do some more ...... your pally would choke at that speeds
