BTW, this is my first over try at overclocking.

Another thing, has anyone tried the new Asus bios? 1003 and 1004beta?

48XX+ on 3dmark03....... low?

OC on Radeon: 330 core, 660 mem, could go higher but prefer not to.

Do the volt mod and get that rig of yours stable at over 2.6ghz.

Ok I just upped the radeon as high as i could w/o getting artifacts or glitches

355.50 core, 711 mem

3dmark03 = 5206

WOW, apparently 3dmark is very sensitive video performance.

I remember seeing only 50-75 points difference going from 2350mhz to 2514.

This overclocking this is fun :) somewhat like tuning a car.

I find the volt mod just too much of a hassle. Since i don't have any of the "ingredients"

Had I known about this issue with the Asus I would have gotten another board. Seriously, what's all the hype about the a7n8x anyways??

Oh and anybody tried the new bios 1003 and 1004beta??? it's on the asus site

wyndrider2001 i suggest you should use the modified 3.2 catalysts, if youre not using them already. will give you more than 150 3dmarks...
yes 3dmark 2003 scored depend on the video card and its oc rather than the cpu/memory clocks
i think 3dmark 2001 is much better

I was looking into getting the SLK 900U for my A7N8X Deluxe but it says that u need to bend capcitors to get it on, did u bend yours? if not, how did u do it?

Same, I have been using Abit in the past. Switch to ASUS for nforce2 which I find is not friendly at all for oc. Plus I miss the fast RAID0 due to lack of RAID IDE (parallel) support.

BTW, my 1700+ DLT3C at 1.875V running 2518 MHz stable on air, just gets a few MHz higher (no offense). It is also on an A7N8X-dlx w/ FSB 210 MHz. It can boot into Windows at 2610 MHz, but I only have a SK7 which is a little bit not as good as SK-900, and it cannot run stable above 2.6 GHz.

I think if you do a Vcore mod, it should most likely be able to go higher.

But that final 100 MHz is expensive. It cost $100+ for a PSU + HSF.

The last 100MHz oc cost $1+ per MHz. Whereas the CPU costs only 2.5 cents/MHz. lol

Well, I'm trying to catch up. So far, 3 80mm fans, 1 120mm fan, 1 SLK-800, 1 3-1/8" holesaw, 1 4-1/2" holesaw, a bunch of grills and I'm thinking about a Prometia.....

Yes, it is a 1700+. Similar oc results as this 2100+. This is the link
Tbred B 1700+ DLT3C 2.5+ GHz air results (http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=187887)

I am still trying to get it stable at higher speed, highest it can boot Windows XP is 2610MHz on air. But is very expensive to oc every MHz. For the $$, heat and fan noise, not worth doing for price performance, but only justify for fun and oc satisfaction.
