just general knowlegde.... i doubt it'd be any difference for us right now since no games use dx9.... a lot still dont even use 8.1...... i guess it'd be nice to have. if it boosts perforamnce, then lemme at it!

Hey, I'd like to install this but I have a question...every time i try and install directx (it did it with 9 also) it tells me that the program did not pass windows logo testing and i cant run it. There isn't even an option to run it anyway. Anyone know how to get around this? thanks

no, there is no option that would let me do that. It just says it has not passed xp logo testing and will not run, and i can only click OK, and that closes the install program. I'm on windows xp pro w/ service pack 1 btw

Anyone notice if your 3dmarks went down? Just wondering as I installed it and thought I lost a few hundered points. Less points = better stability? Just curious...

Confusion, do you have Cryptographic setting disabled in the service manager? It has to be enabled for DX9 installation.
