View Full Version : Garbled Audio Coming Out of Rear Speakers
I had recently purchased the Logitech Z-560's. The sound is amazing. One problem though, I notice that a lot of music I play sound great on the front 2 speakers, but I get this "garbled" music coming out of the rear 2 speakers. I've found it quite annoying. Is it suppose to be like this? Any ways to fix this if it is abnormal?
I am using el crappo AC97 onboard soundcard. Doesn't it have something to do with my onboard audio?

Yep it definitely present when M3D is enabled. But that's the part of getting a 4.1 system, to be able to utilize surround sound.

it could also be the low quality cables that ship with the speakers, the front cables are shorter so the sound can get there easier but the sound can degrade over longer cables
Just swapped the cables around. Still the garbly audio.
I just went out to get the Hercules Fortissimo II soundcard (thinking that it was my onboard audio), and I'm still getting the garbled audio.
What gives?
Anyone else experience something similar?
I believe my Z-560's are working just fine.
Hmmm I think I know the reason now.
Since it only happens when M3D is enabled, it has to do something with how that feature works. If I remember correctly, all M3D does is it tries to emulate a 3D sound by guessing what is outputed. I guess this feature doesn't work well with playing mp3s and such.
