Tubing question

Hi, I was wondering if 5/8 id tubing would fit right with clamps on 1/2 barbs?

why would you want this it would make more sence to have 3/8in tubing on 1/2in barbs cus the id is actually the same, in a perfect world we could get 5/8 barbs and have 1/2in tubing over them
