I have a abit se-6 when I push the FSB to 112 I lose the audio as it is on board is there a solution to this problem do I have to push up the voltage I am running a PIII 700 made 4/9/00 reg no 700/256/100/1.65v no 3027a139-0395sl3xx as I had to revert back to my old mobo which is a gig 2000 this runs fine at 784 no over heat as I run a fridge unit to keep cool and two coolers on my graf card as this gets very hot but no more if any body can help much appreciate
Have you tried running your 700 at 133FSB? Many will make it without a problem. That should allow a 1/4 PCI divider, which should cure your audio problem.

yes it locks at start up i have taken out my 2 sticks of 32 and left in my 64 but it still locks so when i re boot it re sets to 700 do i wiz the se6 out the window from the 64th floor or do i carry on
It seems to be characteristic of the on-board audio on the Abit boards. I have friends with a VH6 and an SA6R that have the same problem. On the VH6 even after hitting 100FSB there are still noise artifacts from the speakers, in spite of the proper dividers. Probably best to just disable it, and replace it with an inexpensive sound card that is known to accept the overclock.
What Vcore are you running your 700 at? Are you using the same ram in both MB's when it tops out at 784? Most of the cb0 700's would go higher than that, so I wonder if your memory isn't the problem.

i am not sure that the prob is the ram i have not pushed the core volts up dont know how far to go befor melt downiiiiiii advice would be helpful thanks
The key to increasing voltage is keeping an eye on the cpu temps. Most of my OC'd machines prefer 1.85v, and with Alpha coolers the temps never exceed 40c. If your temps want to run above 40c with heavy load you need more cooling. My target is 40c maximum, and I have been able to accomplish it with big coolers, and lots of case ventialtion. I recently replaced 2 120mm slow fans with higher volume versions and my cpu temps went down 5 degrees.

Your PCI slots are all full?
