Does anyone know how to change the voltage on an ASUS P3C-D? If not, is there a way to alter the CPU (800EB) to raise the voltage?
It is currently running at 900Mhz, 1.65v.

If you are unfamiliar with the P3C-D, it is an i820 board.

It can be done by wrapping the pins on the cpu. See
http://www.hardocp.com/articles/intel_stuff/bumpvoltage.html for details. This article is for the Celermines, which will have a different programming of the pins on the cpu for a default of 1.5v.

On these PIII processors you should only have to pull VID3 to Vss to allow 2.05 as the maximum Vcore setting.

I appreciate the effort, but that guide doesn't help me since my PIII is a slot1 rather than a socket. Pitty I was getting my hopes up.

Slot 1's can be done by taping the pins of the processor so that they don't make contact with the socket, but I don't have a link handy for that. I'll look for one though- perhaps someone else has one in the meantime.
