I have had a Maxi-Jet 1200 for a few months and it seems to be doing the job water flow wise as I have pretty decent temps and best of all little flux between idle and heavy load.
The only thing that bugs me more then anything is Humm and coming from a fish hobyist background I know how difficult this is to get rid of.
In a perfect world I would be able to find a pump around the same size, so it can fit in my res, that has about the same or a little more flow rate for not a ton of money and little to no humm.
My second choice would be one I can run inline and I would continue to use the res, but just inline to add extra water since I already have it might as well use it and again no humm or at least less then the maxi-jet 1200.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mark
