The data off the CPU:

AXDA1800DL3TC
9359607280117
AIUGA0241MPMW

Now what http://mp3.zonebg.com/cpu/cpu.php says it is:

Athlon XP Processor High-end
Core Thoroughbred-A
CPU Model 8
Performance Rating 1800+
Working frequency 1533 MHz
Package Type OPGA
Operating Voltage 1.5 V
Max Die Temperature 90° C
L1 Cache Size 128 KB
L2 Cache Size 256 KB
Multiplier 11.5x
FSB Frequency 266 MHz
Stepping Code AIUGA
Manufacture Year 2002
Manufacture Week 41
Production Batch M
Batch Production Number 0117
Downgraded from 2800+

...But this thing needs 1.95v to do 2GHz, 40C load. :bang head :temper:

Maybe there is a flaw in this "downgrading," I.E. it only works for B cores. My 2400+ was a downgraded 2600+ and it can run at 2083MHz, stock voltage with no problems.

As the editor mentioned, lower "downgrade numbers" are present on the Bartons. And to me 2.25GHz or more out of an AIUGA seems far fetched (on air). Doesn't make sense for an A core.

I am totaly confused with this "downgraded from 2800" what do you mean by "downgraded"

The data off the CPU:

AXDA1800DL3TC

According to the data on the cpu, that's an 1800+. Everything from the 2400+ up is a B revision so that site is completely wrong, there's no way it can be a "downgraded 2800+"

arent the only "A" ones 2200?

Downgraded means it (couldn't run at its rated speed? could but binned down?)

Anyway, the data seems wild. And I doubt any 2800+s are based off the A core. Too bad nobody has a 2800+... I'd think since they can do 2.25 @ stock voltage they'd overclock quite well....

Must be the same stepping as these DL3TC 1700+s....

The DLT3C 1700+'s are based on the B core.

There are a few people around here that have 2800+'s I think.

Yeah, that's what I was saying... the 2800+s could be the same stepping as the DLT3C 1700+s...

Anyone who has a DLT3C 1700+ should run it through that site and tell us what their CPU was "downgraded" from!

I think that site needs a little work before it is completely accurate.

I really really wish I had one.

i have heard that the downgraded thing on that site was all out of whack. there is no way a t'bred a could be a downgraded 2800 b/c there were no 2800's based on the A core. so thats how you know the webmaster needs to do a little work with his code there. :p

i thought the same thing! but evedently i was wrong the "A" core was produced all the way down to the 1700+. i e-mailed AMD and they stated that "yes the 2200+ was the first t-bread A core, but at the same time the they also produced cpu's with the t-bread A core, down too the 1700+."

i would say that most of these t-bread A chips have been sitting in a warehouse, till all the older cpu's were sold.

I got a 1700+ from newegg today. It was produced 0250 aka week 50 year 2002. The stepping is AIRGA :bang head

It says it is a TB A

The same site says my cpu was downgraded from a 2600+

As stated before this downgraded item is merely a gimmick and has no basis of proof.

People, please dont believe that a little piece of software is able to tell you that your cpu has been downgraded from another faster processor! Conversely I am sure AMD are pretty happy with this particular urban myth as if buyers think they are getting something better then AMD are not going to say otherwise!

LOL, no, of course not.

I knew from the beginning, at least for my A core, that the value was false.

Simply more exposure to the fact that those two digits are not the downgrade number. AMD doesn't just give us stuff like that.

the 2800+ thing is a fallacy, no T-Bred A can run at 2800+ speeds (well not one I know of anyway)

Why ppl keep talking about downgrade thing. Didnt we already confirm that was WRONG. THose numbers arent anything but NUMBERS
