ok im aobut to start on my new case lighting project. i have neve doen this b4 so i need some help. you know those long tube light things? where do those plug in and how bright are they (PS is it goes into your PSU how many watts does it pull?) also do you think a red light bar thingy (sry for 3rd grader speech ;)) would clash too much wiht four blue case fans? im trying to go with a red/white/blue theme. any suggestions? thx for the help.

light bars are know as Cold Cathodes, they pull minimal power and they do connect to your power supply, they come in green, red, blue, purple, yellow, orange, UV, white, etc. Most of them are really bright, though some cheaper ones are not very bright.

They shouldn't clash with the fans but if they do you could always send me either the fans or the cathodes and that would fix your problem;) :D !!

the cold cathodes plug into an inverter, which plugs into the PSU. if you have a quality 400 watt PSu, you wont need to worry about wattage. the clashing thing depends on where they're all located.

I have a mid-grade 350w PSU, connected are the system, one HD, two neons, about 15 various blue LED's two optical drives, and 4 fans. I have got perfect voltages that are always stable. 400w is not always necassary.

LOL thx :) as far as my case goes i have one of these:http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage.asp?style=album

all 4 case fans would be blue. i think i might just go for all blue to give it that cold look (now if only i could get the ACTUAL computer cold ;))
