Still haven't gotten my new proc :(, my cousing is having trouble finding an "L" 2.53 SL6S2 at two Fry's she has tried, but on the bright side if all else fails she hasn't returned the "L" 2.4 SL6RZ she got for me before I changed my mind and decided I wanted a 2.53 chip. I believe she went to the Browkaw and Fremont Fry's.

Anyway, with my cousin having trouble finding an L SL6S2, I was wondering if anybody as tried/seen Costa Rica "3" SL6S2? I'm hoping that they are as good as the Costa Rica SL6RZs. Finally, do you think I should ask my cousin to look for a Costa Rica SL6S2 if she can't find an L or just drop the whole thing and tell her to mail me the 2.4 SL6RZ L chip. Quick response appreciated. Thanks.

Enigma,
I just got a 2.53 L SL6S2 from outpost yesterday in the mail. Have not put it thru its paces yet though. Only problem, I had to spend about 15 minutes straightening bent pins.

Hey preacher how's your Philippines chip doing? Is it as easily overclockable as the L Malay chips? I'm still curious about the Costa Rica chips, so far I've only seen one person mention them and he had his running at around 3.5GHz. Pretty good, but would like to see more peoples experience about them.

Oh, here is what I currently have in my system in case you want to know:

Gigabyte 8INXP motherboard
Kingston HyperX PC3000 memory (2x 512MB)

The reason I changed my mind from a 2.4 to a 2.53 was the higher multiplier. I've heard that my board hits a wall around 175MHz and with the SL6S2s getting as high FSBs as the SL6RZ, I figured I would get higher speed with a 2.53 chip.
