I just bought an ATI Radeon 9500pro/9700. Dont know why it shows as this in the display properties? I want to overclock this card. From all ive read, i have A retail ATI 9500Pro/9700. Got it from Conp-USA and its a red board with the ram In a straight line On the right of the GPU.

On the box it says that it has 8-pixel pipeline Architecture.

Is this card already Unlocked?

If not should i do the warp bios flassh? Or will the Rivatuner Soft patch do this for me without the need to Flash? There is a softpatch at guru3d, so it says.

Also after Unlocking this card what Tool should i use to Clock this thing?

Im a converted Nvida Card user. Took back A Ti 4200 yesterday and got this card. Hope i made the right choice.

ANY help would be awesome. And a quick reply even better. Ive read all the posts, But would like more info please. Have a broken back and Cant sit and read long.

lol. The 9500Pro always had 8 pipelines. It does however have a 128bit memory configuration as opposed to the 256bit of the Radeon 9700/9700Pro. The 9500 non-pro is the one people were unlocking 4 pipelines with. You will however have to flash the 9500Pro with the Warp11 bios so that you can overclock it.

Here is the warp11 bios:

Any suggestions on what to use after Flashing for the overclocking? Riva? Or What?

Riva tuner works fine, i personally use powerstrip. Rage3dtweak and radeonator work fine.
