why my cpu idle and load temp sometimes not same.the cpu at idle is 52c and load at 56c and sometimes the idle temp is 54c and load 60c.does the cpu depend on the case and system temp also??

Absolutely... the heat-sink is cooling itself with air from inside your case, so the very coolest it will ever be is the temperature inside the case (of course, this will only happen when the computer is off ;) ). You should see a pretty much linear rise in CPU temp as the case temperature increases... i.e. the CPU should be a set amount higher than the case temperature, regardless of what the case temperature is (more or less).
Try adding more case fans and re-applying the AS-3.

what do you mean by not the same? usually idle temps are lower than the load temps

Ok. I'll try to explain a bit differently. Suppose your heat-sink is known to operate 20°C above your case temperature from past experiences (this should be pretty much constant for a given heat-load, with a given airflow through the sink... if you have a variable speed fan it's a bit more complex). That would mean that your CPU temperature would be:
X + 20°C ; where X is the temperature inside your case.
So if your case temp is 25°C, your CPU will be 45°.
If you case is 31°C, your CPU will be 51°C.
etc......
[EDIT] Mark asked that because the answer was pretty generic and useless... a common problem around here unfortunately. That post didn't even try to answer your question.

Yeah, it is definately dependant on case temp. my CPU is always 7°C higher than my case temp, currently Case:46°C CPU:53°C(full load).

Mine might not be depend on case temp as much because I duct cool outside air directly to my volcano 9.

Well my CPU is always 3-4 ° higher than my case temp:D
Currently 36/32

Why? it was the palininos (like mine) that ran hot. The tbreds use less power too(wattage) i read that in pcworld.

ill tell you EXACTLY why they are fluctuating. i almost 99% garuntee that your Heatsink is covered in dust and not enough air is getting through. same thnig happened to me and i would have idle that would fluctuate between 49-54C in a matter of 6 seconds LOL. you would be surprised how little dust it takes to do that.

P4s above around 2.4Ghz are heat factories - and Intel doesn't even list max wattages for them. Sandpile.org mentions ~85W max for just the 2.8Ghz part - the 3.06Ghz adds in a ton more because of higher clock and HT.

Add some case fans and your case temp will go down and so will your cpu temp. Also get rid of any dust in your CPU heatsink

Also get rid of any dust in your CPU heatsink THATS A BIG ONE!!! but too truly get any LOWER temps and not just consistent over long use, you need to have very very good airflow. i personaly think the best setup is 2 front intake 2 back outtake and BUNDLE those PSU wires!

Most people barely know that AMD exists, so I'm not surprised that a manufacturer may forget to mention it. If it's an ATX case then it will most certainly support an AMD system. I apologize if I'm taking your post too seriously, but it sounded like you believe the claim. ;)
