hey all

after some testing and research these past weeks, i´ve found some interesting stuff... the oc'ing limits are these:

fsb169 ... 1.65v
fsb170 ... 1.70v
fsb171 ... 1.75v

doesn´t 0.1V seem too much for a 2mhz increase in fsb? i think so :(. i suspect something is limiting the OC, what do you ppl think?

my current hardware is:
P4 2.4B C1 SL6DV
Asus P4G8X Deluxe 1003
2x 256MB Seitec DDR333 (not the problem, doing 408MHz CAS2 2-2-5 1T on my previous PC

btw... tried tweaking the whole bios, all voltages, everything, no luck.

thanks for the input

looks like the chip. with that high of voltage, most c1's will do 167-170 on default voltage.;)

what spec is the chip?

The C1 chips seem to come very close to their max overclock
at default vcore. Anything above 1.68v is pretty much useless
and will increase your temps about as much as it will increase
the bus speed.

I think its ur Memory :) try it with a PC3200 or higher :) i used to have a PC2700 too then i bought some 3200 made a lot of difference :) am running at 170 fsb now

well this memory has done 408mhz cas2 2-2-5 1T on my epox board at 2.8v... so i think it should do 342mhz at 2.7v at least ;)

what i´m worried about is reaching the mobo's limits... i´ve seen some 8INXP's having a FSB limit on 170-175mhz, don´t want that to happen to me heh
