As you can see in my sig I have techcool ext unit. I just bought 50' of tygon 3603 5/8 id tubing off of ebay for $20. All the connections on the techcool are 5/8 and I was wondering if I can change the barbs on the ww block to 5/8?

You can. You'll need 5/8" barbs to 3/8" BSP male threads. The width of the barbs however will restrict you to the use of just 2mm thickness walled tubing otherwise you won't have the room to push the tubing on to the barbs. You'd also need to source a 5/8" Y-splitter which will be very hard to find (I tried).

thks cathar, as Im using a danner 9.5 pump (950gph, 14'hd) I think going to larger id hose will cut down on hd induced heat. I could always go 1/2 id from outlets to Y if I can find one that has 1/2's to 5/8

you could always get a chunk of plexi, or lexan and drill a flow pattern in it. to converge all flow to that. would look really nice and perty too...

If you're in the US and find BSP threaded barbs, lemme know where. I had a hard time trying to find some. I think 5/8 inlet and 2x 1/2 outlets is a good idea, still will be a tight fit tho.

peace.
