Before I get going on this... I wanted to know what you guys think. My res is pretty tall and I was worried that my pump wont be able to get water up to it. Take a look at what im doing...

as you can see, the pump is on the ground... I was going to have the output of the pump lead into the top of the res... what do you guys think?

so have it pump into the top one and out the bottom one? or how?

what pump is it?

yes... that is what I planned... im using a 1250... just did a test run, and it looks like its gonna work out.

You're going to go from the pump to the top of the res, bottom of the res to the block or rad? You won't have much pressure going into your block. I would have the pump pulling from the bottom of the res going straight to the cpu, and the return line through the rad back to the top of the res.

And, with your way, if you don't seal the top of the res you'll probably have water coming out the top.
