Quick question, I bought 2 panalo fans and want to buy 3 pin connectors for them. They came with 4 pin connectors, but want to change it to 3 pin. I can take the 4 pin connector totally off the fan. I'm not sure what its called, but i need a wire that is 3 pin (male) - 3 pin (female). please help.

You don't plan on hooking those panalo fans to your motherboard do you?

no i got a lian-li PC-65B. my front two intake fans by default hook to a fan controler device on the front. its lian-li standard. i was a dumbass and didn't see they hook via 3 pin to it, then from the control device get converted to 4 pin. I bought the two fans with 4 pin like a dumb ass, and it looks ****ty in my case with 4 pins and I can't hook it to the fan controler with 4 pins. hmm, but makes me think, maybe i don't need to order these 3 pins, i could probably use the orginal fans 3 pins, and just cut them off and soder them onto the new ones.

Here's a suggestion. Make yourself(or buy) a fanbus. You'll be able to power all your fans from one spot. Drawback is no RPM sensing through the fanbus. Check http://www.fanbus.com for specs and such.

i use a fan bus already only 3 port. i use it for my cold cathode and 2 fans. the front fans use a mini fan bus provided by lian li on the front of their case.

I have 2 Tt2 fans hooked up where the stock Pss Poor stock fans where at on my Lian Li PC-65B. So I understand your pain with the stock Lian Li fans. I will say those stock fans make for nice VC coolers though ;).

What you could do, is do what you said about the 3-pin and then take the 4 pin molex plug in from the pans and solder them on one of the stock Lian Li fans and then get a PCI fan holder and mount the stock fan to it and help cool your AGP/PCI cards.

true. great idea with the pci cooler. I stole a PCI slot card fan from my last computer, but that thing is dieing for some reason? I've cleaned it out so many times, but it always needs me to manually start to spin the thing to get going...haha, don't ask me whats wrong with it. But i just might do the PCI slot card cooler with one of the default Lian-Li fans. They are pretty quiet. i'm just thinking of what I could mount the fan too? and what would fit in the PCI slot I could mount it too, even. O, i might just end up buying the connector instead of doing the mod, i might need those fans intack.

I was talking about the ones that mount on the side of the PCI slots and blow directly over the AGP/PCI slots.

With that fan problem, peel the label back and add a few drop of oil, that should solve the problem with it not wanting to start up.

not sure what you mean side? you mean on the window or something? or on the side of the case? I got a slot blower right now.
