hi all. I have a PNY GeForce4 Ti4400. I found that i can take the ram to 621 (so far) and the core to just 307 (any higher than that on the core, and it locks ut2k3). I wanna know what kinda cooling gear i need to make it frag-o-licious. I saw people with GF4's with clocks unbelievable... My card, stock, has the ordinary nVidia designed hsf and no ramsinks.

P.S.: any idea what the safest high temp is for one of these?

thanx

The best rational cooling for a video card would be to epoxy on a 1U cpu cooler such as this one:

As for ramsinks the best are the tweakmonster ramsinks:

Thats what I would put if you want a tight video card. Water would work nicely as well:D .

so, go with a 1U? i was looking at a Tt GF4 cooler, but...apparently those suck...my friend got no extra overclockability with it...and from what i hear, they are misshapen too...

The tweakmonsters are great, they dropped my ram 9C. The TTGF4 cooler I got really sucked, very concave. The biggest improvement I got on air was having a side panel fan directly on the AGP slot. Then came water.

Your core oc isn't bad. I was able to do 310, 656 with stock cooling. The ramsinks gained me a few points but not much. I've got a pelt/waterblock now and I can do 320, 690ish. Don't expect great things unless you go a big step up on the cooling. And some cards just don't clock well no matter what you do.

I wouldn't suggest going all out just to add a few points. If you start adding up the cash, pretty soon you coulda had a 9700pro!
