Audigy Vs Audigy 2?

Is there tremandous different in performance in this two considering there is huge price difference or Audigy 2 is just an upgraded pproduct over Audigy, I'm planning to go from OnBoard Sound to new sound card but Audigy seems to have the best card out there, but guys I'm on budget so what other sound cards can I get for $80 US at max, and which card gives the best performance for middle range price?

I just picked up a audigy2 retail for $112 US....with a $30 MIR
final price for me is $82.00 US

it's a nice card, maybe you need to look around for a good price.

Guillemot Hercules GameSurround Fortissimo III 7.1, is also a good card. about $47.00 retail US

VOYETRA TURTLE BEACH SANTA CRUZ is also a good choice.
about $65.00 US

The Audigy2 has way better drivers than the Audigy. If you'll be using it for game playing only go with Audigy2. If your interest lies in music I would go with M-Audio but be warned, M-Audio doesn't do games well. Perhaps there new 7.1 does, not sure.
