Modding My Mouse.

I am a new modder and that is why I want to mod my optical mouse first. It is not a wireless mouse and I was wondering what kind of mods are there that will be easy for a beginner. I don't know much but I want to put some lights inside the mouse and are there any sites that can help me with this. I want step by step instructions. And I would prefer a mod that is less dangerous. Thanks and please reply. Where can I get the little LED's for cheap.

You might want to ask a mod to move this. Probably much better off asking this in Alternate Modding. There are plenty of cases of mouse modding.
