i am wondering if anyone has this setup

a kx7-333 mobo with corsair 512mb xms pc3500 cas 2

if you don't can I expect the 512mb corsair xms pc3500 cas 2 to work in this mobo. It's say it only supports upto pc2700. and if so what fsb should i be able to get to considering i only have a 1/5 divisor max and pci speeds being too high might affect my overclocking, in terms of my video card, sound card ..etc being at too high pci speeds ... aka. higher then 33mhz.

I have a kx7-333 mobo
msi geforce 4 ti 4600 8x agp
topower 370 watt psu
amd athlon xp 2200 (processor info below)

axda2200dkv3c 9311073270683
airga0234wpcw

alpha 2045 heatsink with about a 55 cfm fan
two 120mm case fans pushing about 90 cfm each

itll work, but your board will probably limit how high you can push the fsb. that ram is rated for 433mhz,... your m-board is rated for 333. but yea itll work

I had a similar setup. I was running Corsair XMS3200 on my kx7-333.

The highest I ever got was 192 fsb. Because I only had the 1/5 divider anything higher than 166 fsb put my pci/agp out of spec and my gfx card gave up beyond 192.

I'm sure many people have had it higher and some maybe not so high.

The bottom line is that the ram will work in that board but how high you get it is very machine specific.

Have fun finding out :D

Punisher69,

I would only add to nightowl's comments that the Cosair 3500 should be able to reach a 200FSB and probably above. But as noted, your APG or PCI devices may crap out before 200.

Also I don't believe the kx7-333 unlocks the cpu for you and if that is true you'll need to unlock your 2200+ to get anywhere near 200.

Yup my 2200 is unlocked :) :) anyone else has this setup?

also what kind of video card did you have that went up to 192 fsb and can the bios be modded on the kx7-333 to add the 1/6 divisor
*bump*

I had two sticks of corsair xms 3200 and a kx7-333 board running at 180 fsb with 2,3,3,1T ratings on the ram. My lan card would crap out at 181 so I had to stop at 180. I took out my sound card and lan card and got it to boot at 11x200 with my tbreb +2100 at the same mem timings but because all I could find are bios with the 1/5 divider I just settled on 180x13
