Why do I lose my sound when I overclock past about 2.65 ghz? I think it might have something to do with the fact that my audio ports are onboard and probably connected throught the cpu bus? I'm not sure. Any ideas???

my stupidity amazes me sometimes, thanks!

I figured that the auto setting would adjust for me, since the P4G8X is the beast, apparently not!

high PCI frequency can make some onboard devices lose function, such as onboard sound and onboard LAN. Once use the fixed normal or low PCI frequency, everything will go back to normal.

i had problems with the manual 66/33 setting on a p4pe. i had to set 67/34 to work properly. i haven't tryed yet this on my p4g8x but i wouldn't be supprised if this board works the same way..
