(didnt know where else to stick this Q) I have a swifty 4000-b with a tornado on it mounted on my board with its standard retention lugs. I'm wondering: how much weight can a motherboard in this situation safely take? im thinking of doing a couple more mods that will make it a little heavier and offset the center of gravity.

thanks

I'd be careful 13. The MCX4K is a heavy heatsink to begin with. Adding more weight will only increase the stress on the board where it mounts and on the retention system. The latter is what I'd be most worried about. If the retainers break and your HSF crashes onto your video card it would ruin your whole day.

And raising the center of gravity would magnify the effect of any added weight.
