What the @@@Hardware Doctor turns off my Fan!

I installed the Hardware Doctor utility that came with my Abit NF7-s v2.0 MB and whenever I open the program it turns the fan on the CPU off I didn't notice for a few minutes too Could have burned up my CPU if I hadn't of noticed the decrease in noise levels with the fan off.

Anybody know how to stop this so I can use this utility?

I had the same thing happen with a couple of Soyo motherboards. The way I got around it was to cut the 2 power wires that go to the CPU fan and then adding a plug so it could be plugged into the power supply connector (12V). Be sure to leave the 3rd wire because that is where you get the CPU speed.

Worked like a charm!
