I installed the client on my work and home computers a couple of days ago, and since everything was smooth, I just installed it on two work friends computers. I figure that by the end of the weekend I could have about 10ghz folding 24/7 at work, and double that by the end of next week.
What I'm wondering, is how do I follow my progress? The only things I'm managing to find, is lists with thousands of users, and I can't find myself on it... I tried using the browsers search, and still nada! Does it just take some time to get on the list, or is there an easyer way to monitor my own performance?
The graphical client I have on my work computer is a bit weird. When I try to go into settings, it just opens mozilla with %1 on the address field, and does'nt let me close it...

Once you have submitted a WU, you can start checking your stats...the problem is that they're updated every 3 hours or so so it might take a while. I started looking for my stats on the stanford site...once you get a WU in and the stats update, you can do a search for your user name under the user stats link in the stats page on the stanford site and it should show up...you can click on it and you'll be sent to your stats page which tells you the number of CPUs that are active under your name, how many points you have, what team you're on, how many and which WU's you've completed, and what rank you are(based on all users).

Thanks! I found myself...
For some strange reason, it shows that I only had one processor active during the last week. I have however had my home computer folding too, but as it's not on 24/7 it has'nt finished a wu yet. Will it only show after it's finished, or did I mess something up?

It will only show after it's done and the page is updated which is around 3-6 hours.

It takes time to update the processors for some reason. I actually got the points before I got the 2nd processor ranking.
Anyways, procesors don't matter, what matters in the number of points per week.

One more question... people are talking about reaching 10000, or 50000, are you talking about point's, or wu's?

:)
Well, I got 5 computers at work folding now. Only one of them is a p4 2ghz, the rest are 1ghz pIII's. I'm going a bit slowly as I want to see if the folding ends up bothering anyones work, but I'd say there's atleast 10 more computers I could install on. (we can install programs on our computers as long as the lisence is in order)
We also have a testbench with one computer for every operating system, but usually our system admin has had them running his own project.. (seti or whatever) I could install on them without problems, but I guess I shoudl'nt without asking. If I ask, he'll just remember to install his own thing again! *sighs*
*edit*
Just talked to my dad, who works for a medium sized university. He promised to ask their system admin if they'd install it into the university's computers and put this team...

Just make sure you have permission to run those at work.
Granted, it's for a good cause, but I've read about people
being fired for using company equipment, and being charged
for "bandwidth usage".

Don't worry, our own workstations are fine. I won't be installing on any public computers without permission from the sys admin.
Went up 645 places in the last 24 hours! :D And I'm hardly started yet...

Well done, and all those rigs are more than welcome folding for us here.
Welcome to the fold :)
