I'm in the process (very slow process) of putting together a water/pelt system. In the meantime, I'm clocking a 2.53 at 2.855 with a stock intel heat sink (came with processor). The highest I've seen my cpu temp is about 48 celsius with a full load. Is this too hot for short term?

48 isnt to bad of a temp. are you having problems with the computer locking up or restarting? if not, then the temps are fine. but the higher your overclock gets, the more problems you will have with temp related instability, with the stock hsf that is.

no. no problems. it's a temporary temp anyway. the pelt is going in once i get some more money for a rad and pump. thanks
