Heeey guys/gals perhaps, i was just wondering about the mosfets, im about to put some heat sinks on them because my 8rga+ is mad unstable at 200fsb...so i think it maybe that, anyways, just wondering if any of you have actually found that cooling the mosfets makes any difference at all? ok thanks, just wanna know before i do it.

i think it helps more when you get over 2vcore.but it couldnt ever hurt it either.dont forget to put one on the vcore reguleter thats right above the mosfets,it gets just as hot.

Cooling the mosfets actually helps the +5 and +12 rails become more stable...example...my +5 would jump +/- .50 v's when the mosfets started to get too hot...after installing the ramsinks it only spikes about .01 now...doesn't help OCing past 200FSB though...the only way to get over 200FSB and be stable is to do the VDD mod if you have not done so yet...

If you don't know about this, then you might want to check it out...

Ways to reach 200FSB on the 8RDA+ (http://8rda.com/page2.htm)

Yea, but that would be relevant if i had an 8rda but i have an 8rga+ so i dont really need any vdd mods since i can control it in the bios...Hmmmmm thanks for your help tho, i just installed the mosfet sinks.

Yeah them mosfets do become mad hot :) They certainly do become hot enough to singe the skin. I've often wondered why mobo manufactures don't put better cooling on them, perhapse they are not adversely affected by heat the way more complex ICs are...

I spaced about the 8RGA+ and the vdd bios options...
